So it's little wonder that we have so many water sports - fishing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, scuba diving, and of course, beach combing. We get over 200 days of sunshine a year, which makes for lots of gorgeous sunsets. This one was caught at Cape George, a waterfront development with spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains, Discovery Bay, and the Straits of Juan de Fuca. It's located just a few minutes from Port Townsend.Port Townsend is surrounded by marvelous beaches, both public and private. This one is part of Kala Point, a private, gated community a few minutes from Port Townsend with houses, condos, and townhouses.
