Kala Point
Only 6 miles from Port Townsend, this private, gated community hosts an incredible natural playground in
which to live: 3 miles of sandy beach, boat launch, clubhouse with swimming pool, 3 tennis courts, and
walking trails galore. Kala Point is in the Port Townsend School District. Kala Point Development overlooks
Port Townsend Bay and the Cascade Mountains from the water view homes. There are a larger proportion of
non-view sites than view sites. There are over 460 lots and about 75% are built out. Deer, Blue Herons, Bald
Eagles, and Raccoons call this home as well. Paved streets and community water are included in the Home
Owner Fees of approximately $523 per year. Condo Maintenance fees are an additional $759. To live at Kala
Point is to be close to the energy of Port Townsend yet able to go home to your own private nest at the end
of the day. Home Values begin at $199,500 and condos begin at $158,000. Travel: Travel time to downtown
Port Townsend is 10 minutes. To major shopping in Silverdale, 30 minutes.
Paradise Bay, Shine, and South Point

area

days,

Waterfront starts at $135,000. Travel: This is the
midway point between Sequim and the Hood
Canal Bridge, and is about 20 minutes from Port
Townsend.
Upper Discovery Bay

these
areas

the

These area make up the countryside of our area. Rich farmland,
lovely valleys, and rich heritage. Port Hadlock and Irondale have
more in the way of homes on lots with the acreage being mainly
in the remaining areas. These areas are in the Chimacum School
District. Port Hadlock is quietly becoming a town of good
commerce and a central hub for the county. Home Values are all
over the place! They range from $80,000 to $500,000. Land
acreage ranges from $25,000 to $450,000. Travel: 15 minutes to
Port Townsend, 15 minutes to the Hood Canal Bridge.
Port Ludlow
Some of the finest harbors in the county are found here. Port Ludlow has multiple
pockets to be found. The more established areas are above the resort and the more
contemporary areas are around the waterway. Amenities include the world class 27
hole golf course, clubhouses with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts,
walking trails, the community beach, the marina, and pocket parks. Lots are .3 to .5
acres with homes in a labyrinth of tucked away streets and cul de sacs. Port Ludlow
receives a little more moisture and is a little cooler than Port Townsend, but still
enjoys they rain shadow. Good values are to be found there. Port Ludlow is in the
Chimacum School District. Property Values: Homes range from $192,000 to
$299,000,000. Lots range from $15,00 to $299,000. Property Owner Fees are $392
per year. There are several different condo complexes, some with water view, some
waterfront, and some on the golf course. Travel: 20 minutes to Port Townsend, 1.5
hours plus a ferry ride to Seattle

Cape George
A private community located only 10 minutes from Port Townsend with breathtaking views of the
Olympic Mountains, Discovery Bay, Protection Island, and the Straits. There are 3 sections in this
development:The Colony has stick built homes only, with prices beginning at $189,000. Lots are
priced from $70,000. The Village allows manufactured homes. Prices begin at $90,000 with lot
prices beginning at $39,000. The Highlands are 2 to 5 acre parcels priced from $45,000.
The sunsets are like blazing fire across the sky and the views of the Olympic Mountains change
daily. This is an established community of solid values and is not gated. Amenities include the
marina, moorage, 2 miles of beach, clubhouse with swimming pool. Home Owner fees are $468 per
year and include water.
