The private, gated Kala Point community is composed of 390 peaceful, wooded acres and 1.5 miles of sandy, saltwater beach located just 6 miles from Port Townsend. Beach amenities include the boat launch ramp, playground, picnic and barbeque areas, and walking paths.

The lots are 1/3 acre or larger. Utilities are underground, views are protected, and quality is assured by the protective covenants. The private streets are well maintained and the security gate is closed on weekends and three day holidays. All members have a key card pass and automatic openers can be obtained. Homes can be connected to the gate, allowing the gate to be opened from the resident's home when a visitor calls from the phone at the gate.

The homeowner's association has an elected board of directors to maintain the covenants and community. There are many committees at work, also. There are four individual condominium associations which maintain their own common areas.
