Welcome
to Port Ludlow
Port
Ludlow was discovered in the mid 1800s and was founded in the 1870s
by Pope and Talbot as a logging and sawmill operation. A mere 100
or so years later Pope and Talbot recognized the beauty of the area
and decided to utilize it in the form of a resort and residential
community.
Today
Port Ludlow is a 2,000 acre master planned community designed to
enhance the beauty of the natural surroundings. The beautiful resort
and residential community of Port Ludlow offers gorgeous views of
the Cascade Mountains, the Olympic Mountains, Port Ludlow Bay, the
Inner Harbor, and Puget Sound shipping lanes.
Over
2500 residents call Port Ludlow home, and many more enjoy it's beauty
when they come for a visit and stay at one of the many waterfront
and water view condominiums and the hotel.
There's
much to do in and around Port Ludlow - hiking, fishing, boating,
golf, clam digging, oyster picking, swimming, tennis, shopping,
and more. The championship 18 hole golf course at Port Ludlow was
designed by Robert Muir Graves and was rated by Esquire Magazine
as "one of the top 5 most scenic courses in the world".
The 300 slip marina is full service with gas and diesel fuel available
as well as supplies at the local marina store.
The
Port Ludlow Voice, our monthly newsletter, is jam-packed with activities
from the various clubs - Port Ludlow Garden Club, Port Ludlow Compter
Club, Dine and Discover, Port Ludlow Book Club, the RV Club, Hiking
Club, and Raquet Club just to mention a few. And come spring, our
Friday Farmer's Market begins, with fresh locally grown produce,
flowers, plants, and locally made hand-crafts.
