the top and Port Townsend Bay on the right.
The inland body of water is the Kah Tai Lagoon, which features
a beautiful park with many walking trails.
The Port of Port Townsend marina is easily visable. Behind it is
the boatworks yard with everything a boat owner could possibly want
or need.
At the top of the picture is Whidbey Island with beautiful parks
such as Fort Casey and Deception Pass, great shopping in quaint
Coupeville, and beautiful scenic drives. It's just a short ferry
ride from Port Townsend
The
little spit of land at the top left is the location of the lighthouse
at Fort Worden, backed by the hundreds of acres of woods with beautiful
walking trails. The beaches are great for walking, beachcombing,
swimming, fishing, and just plain relaxing.
Fort Worden is home to Centrum Foundation which brings such wonderful
music festivals to Port Townsend, such as Fiddle Tunes, Jazz, and
Bluegrass.
Bring your RV and stay at the campground or rent one of the Officer's
Houses, as seen in the movie An Officer and a Gentleman.

Port
Townsend is a quiet Victorian seaport at the tip of the Olympic
Peninsula in Washington, so peaceful it seems worlds away from the
hustle and bustle of big city life, yet it's only a short drive
and a delightful ferry ride to Seattle.

Port Townsend is surrounded by water - the Straits of Juan de Fuca,
Admiralty inlet, and Discovery Bay. So it's little wonder that we
have so many water sports - fishing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking,
scuba diving, and of course, beach combing.

We
get over 200 days of sunshine a year, which makes for lots of gorgeous
sunsets. This one was caught at Cape George, a waterfront development
with spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains, Discovery Bay,
and the Straits of Juan de Fuca. It's located just a few minutes
from Port Townsend.
Port Townsend is surrounded by marvelous beaches, both public and
private. This one is part of Kala Point,
a private, gated community a few minutes from Port Townsend with
houses, condos, and townhouses. Besides the beach, amenities include
tennis courts, a club house with swimming pool, wooded walking trails,
and fabulous views of the water and mountains.
